Famitsu Game Rankings

How's everyone enjoying their own little mini-ice age? Seems Japan's coping with it by keeping close to the warming glow of TFT screens this week as they buy heavily into Square Enix's latest instalment to the Kingdom Hearts series. Can't remember the last PSP game that topped the chart, Monster Hunter 2nd G perhaps? Either way, New Super Mario Bros. has now been dethroned by two Square Enix games over the last few weeks, Final Fantasy XIII the only game to do so before it. I'm betting though, that it probably won't last (see: #8). Nothing else really surprising or interesting to point out this week, Fantasy Star Portable 2 enters the top 10 for the first time. Famitsu Game Rankings are sales figures collected and compiled by Japanese magazine company; Famitsu. They are generally posted every Wednesday and reflect the sales of games from the past week. All sales dates are Japanese dates and may not reflect release dates from other regions. 50Hz Blogger transliterates these lists and places them on the blog every week. Check back every Wednesday for updates. (Sometimes there may be an unexpected delay, in which case readers may find them appear on a Thursday or Friday.)
