Famitsu Game Rankings

Recently, upon viewing the depressing sitemeter stats for 50Hz Blogger, I've noticed a lot of hits from people looking for "Famitsu Game Ranks"... It never once occurred to me that this name, which was a sort of funny translation/accreditation ("Famitsu" being the people who publish the figures, "Game" derived from "Game Soft[ware]" in the original articles titles and "(Sales) Ranking[s]" also derived from the title of the original Famitsu articles), seems to make up a rather mis-leading title. I could change the title, but after so long... I don't think it's worth loosing the possibly 1 or 2 people who actually read this on a regular basis.

Mind-implosion out of the way, onto last week's news! God Eater munches on first place, knocking down Dragon Quest VI (which would have been top last-last week had I posted the top 10... Oops.) Star Ocean 4, which missed a golden opportunity to use "Interstellar" instead of "International" drops at #3. Mario Bros, Tomodachi Collection are about average, End of Eternity which started well last-last week at #2 is now at lowly 6th and the last notable: Kingdom Hearts finds it's way into the bleeding hearts column, as it is careering out of the top 10. Full list below:

Famitsu Game Rankings are sales figures collected and compiled by Japanese magazine company; Famitsu. They are generally posted every Wednesday and reflect the sales of games from the past week. All sales dates are Japanese dates and may not reflect release dates from other regions. 50Hz Blogger transliterates these lists and places them on the blog every week. Check back every Wednesday for updates. (Sometimes there may be an unexpected delay, in which case readers may find them appear on a Thursday or Friday.)
