27/05: Famitsu Game Rankings: 17th May - 23rd May 2010

Another fine week has passed us gentlemen and gentleladies. We move closer and closer to the 2010 World Cup in Africa and the Japanese game-buying public seem to reflect the increasing excitement for the event. The Official Fifa World Cup game entered the charts last week, but stood very little chance against the might of Japan's favourite football simulator; Winning Eleven (or as it's more commonly known over here; Pro Evolution Soccer). So popular is this game, that it not only appeared once, not twice, but three times in the top-ten. One of which being for a system long but past it's time, the Playstation 2. Sorry to take up the entire opening paragraph with this news, but it's pretty impressive. Other notable mentions are Lost Planet 2, especially it's Xbox 360 version, which ranked 3 places lower than it's PS3 counterpart and Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 seems to still be a beast still with much selling power left to give.
