Professor Layton 4 going state-side. Fearing that Professor Layton's fourth instalment on the Nintendo DS was going to be missed in favour of the more immediate release of the Prof's 3DS outing? Well, good news. Nintendo have announced the game for release in America later this year, hopefully Nintendo Europe will announce a very similar, perhaps differently named version of the title for release later this year or early next year.

Entitled "Professor Layton and the Last Specter", a slight alteration of the Japanese title; "Professor Layton and the Spectre's Flute" the game is a prequel to the original Professor Layton trilogy which explores how Luke and Layton met. The Japanese version of the game includes an RPG element called "London Life" which is said to run over 100 hours in game time, it has yet to be confirmed if the feature will make an appearance in the localised versions of the game.

E3 Media: The Rolling Western (3DS) Nintendo quietly announced some titles at E3 which weren't part of it's big-hitting E3 stage-show. One of which is "The Rolling Western" a downloadable Nintendo 3DS title. The game involves an armadillo rolling around trying to protect a town from rampaging rock-people. Part action game, part strategy game... Looks interesting to say the least.

E3 Media: Mario Kart (3DS) It wouldn't be a Nintendo console without Mario Kart and it seems that the Nintendo 3DS is no different. The new Mario Kart title sees some gliding/flight action as well as some under-water action, not to mention a huge customisation feature in the game, a first for the series.

E3 Media: The Legend of Zelda (Wii U). Although there was no announcement of the game itself, Nintendo was more than happy to show off this prospective new The Legend of Zelda title off in video form and have it sit pretty with the promotional Wii U hardware shots.

Let's not get too excited about the prospects of the game either looking like this, or coming any time soon. Nintendo notoriously released realistic-looking Zelda clips in the past as technology demos for it's consoles with no intention of making an actual title from them. Still, looks cool, let's hope we hear more about it in the future.

E3 Media: Nintendo Wii U. Nintendo's next generation, high definition games console; the Nintendo Wii U looks to utilise a 6.2-Inch touch-screen, tablet-like controller which can play touch-orientated games, play full HD games and be a "supplement" screen, like the Nintendo DS' two-screen setup. Not only this, but it's fully compatible with all Nintendo Wii controllers and peripherals. Oh and they're teasing a Zelda game in one of the screens, can you find it?

E3 Media: DmC: Devil May Cry Fans may have reacted badly to the initial announcement of the new take on the Devil May Cry game, but Ninja Theory wants to reassure fans that although looking colourful and nothing like older games in the series, it can still kick-ass.

E3 Media: Super Mario 3DS. Nintendo's timeless mascot is making his first apperance on the Nintendo 3DS in the currently entitled; "Super Mario". It looks like a Super Mario 64-like, Super Mario Galaxy-ish title, but one thing you can be sure of; it'll be awesome.
